IMAP Sync issues with Exchange 2010

Things I found out the hard way number 25423: If you have done an imapsync from a compatible IMAP service to a brand spanking new Exchange 2010 install and the Received dates are being set to the import date - Simply ensure you have updated Exchange to the most recent Service Pack and Update Rollup and run the imapsync again. Then you should find all your dates are correct.

It works! It actually works!

Of course it does!

The wireless receiver code has been implemented, a protocol devised, uploaded to the "dummy" test board/transmitter and it works like a charm.

The "dummy" unit, as it doesn't have a GPS module, has been programmed to transmit a single latitude/longitude which has been roughly calculated (using Google Maps) to be the position. I took the "real" unit for a walk down the driveway and the Distance To and Heading To is accurate to within 5 metres.

New Project: (SR) PITS

New project: (Short range) Position-Indicating Tracking System

The idea is to have two (or more) units communicate with each other over some kind of RF link (Starting with the Sparkfun 434MHz transmitter and reciever for testing – Good for about 150m apparently, but the finished product should ideally have a similar range to 477MHz UHF CB… Somewhere between 5 and 50km.

Warn XD9000 Rebuild

Using the trusty Warn XD-9000 the other day it seemed to be struggling with only a moderate load, not to mention that fact that it refuses to disengage and free-spool. This, combined with it sitting on the front of the Patrol for nearly 9 years without moving and I decided it was probably time to tear the winch down and rebuild it.
